Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan reached another milestone after returning to cricket completing one year ICC ban. The Tiger all-rounder today joined the 5000 runs and 350 wickets club as a second cricketer after West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo in the T20s. Shakib Al Hasan touched the milestone while batting against Gazi Group Chattogram in the ongoing Bangabandhu T20 Cup at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today.

Shakib opened the innings for Gencon Khulna today. He was 3 runs away from the feat. The southpaw completed 5,000 runs with a single by pushing delivery of Shariful Islam to the square leg.

However, Shakib could not prolong the innings and went out after completing the milestone. The former national team captain returned to the dressing room with just 3 runs before went out by Nahidul Islam.

Shakib has played 312 T20 matches so far in his career. He has scored 5000 runs with 122 strike rates. He also made 19 fifties and his highest score is unbeaten 86.
