Tiger all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been named Bharat Army’s Player of the Year this year. Although banned from cricket, his achievement has brought a smile on Shakib’s fans.

Shakib is currently under a one-year ban from international cricket for concealed a bettor’s offer. As a result, he will not be able to play any domestic and international cricket until next year. However, the award of the Bharat Army is given based on the performance in the last one year.

Shakib Al Hasan has scored 606 runs – 2 centuries and 5 half-centuries – took 11 wickets in just 8 matches in the 2019 Cricket World Cups. Apart from this, there were other highlights in the series. As a result, Shakib was nominated for the International Male Player of the Year category from the Bharat Army.

Besides Shakib, there were three others on the list — Ben Stokes of England, Steve Smith of Australia and Kane Williamson of New Zealand — were competing for the Bharat Army award.
