Shai Hope contracts Covid-19 in West Indies

Shai Hope did not come to Bangladesh on the pretext of coronavirus situation, however, the reliable batsman of West Indies has been infected with Covid-19 from the country.
Confirming the information, Barbados Cricket Association said in a statement on Tuesday that Hope had been infected with the coronavirus. Besides Shai Hope, his brother Kyle Hope has also contracted the virus.
Hope was tested positive for the virus while undergoing the Covid-19 test for the Super50 Cup which will start in Antigua next month. As a result, he dropped out of the tournament.
A total of 10 cricketers of West Indies withdrew their names from the team’s tour of Bangladesh due to the coronavirus situation – Hope is one of them.
