Severe cold wave sweeping over Panchaghar

A severe cold wave is sweeping over Panchaghar district and it may continue some parts of the area, said a met bulletin issued on Monday morning.

Besides, mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Mymensingh division and rest part of Rangpur division and the regions of Tangail, Madaripur, Gopalgonj, Sitakunda, Srimangal, Rajshahi, Naogaon, Khulna, Jashore, Chuadanga and Barisal and it may continue some parts of these areas, it added. 

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) also predicts dry weather with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.

Light to moderate fog may occur at some places over the country from late night to tomorrow morning. Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added. 

The highest temperature in the country was recorded yesterday 28 degrees Celsius at Feni and today’s minimum temperature of 5.1 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

The sun sets at 5.22 pm today and rises at 6.42 am tomorrow in the capital.
