Seven colleges exams to go ahead

The Ministry of Education has taken a new decision regarding seven government colleges affiliated with Dhaka University. According to this decision, the ongoing and scheduled examinations of seven colleges will be held conditionally.
MA Khair, Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education, confirmed the information after a virtual meeting between the Dhaka University (DU) and the principals of seven colleges with Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni.
“The hostel would not be opened during the exam and the students would have to participate in the exam in compliance with the hygiene rules,” he said.
Earlier, a virtual meeting was held on the movement and demands of students of seven colleges.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division Mahbub Hossain, Dhaka University VC Professor Dr. Akhtaruzzaman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) and Chief Coordinator of seven colleges, Professor ASM Masud Kamal, coordinators of seven colleges and principals of the colleges were attended the virtual meeting.
Earlier, the students blockade the Nilkhet intersection at 9:00 am. As a result, the traffic on the nearby roads was halted. At this time, the agitated students gave different slogans. Later, Professor IK Selim Ullah Khandaker, the principal of Dhaka College and the coordinator of seven colleges, came there around 12:00 pm.
It is to be noted that the oral examinations of Government Four Colleges Honors 4th year 2019 and Honors 3rd year 2019 and Masters final part of 2018 were in progress. It was supposed to happen.
It is to be noted that the oral examinations of 2019 Honors 4th year, 2019 Honors 3rd year and 2017 Master last year was going on in seven DU-affiliated government colleges. Besides, the examinations of Degree 3rd year was scheduled to held on February 28 and Honors 2nd year on March 10.
