Schools, colleges to remain closed till September if necessary

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said if the coronavirus situation in the country will not be normal, all schools and colleges will remain closed till September next. The Prime Minister said this on Monday while holding a videoconference over coronavirus. 

"We won’t reopen schools and other educational institutions now. These schools, colleges and other educational institutions will remain closed till September," she said.  

The videoconference begun at 10:00 am at Prime Ministers' official residence Ganobhaban in the capital. The public representatives, administrations, doctors and health workers, representatives of law enforcement and the armed forces of the eight districts under Rajshahi division joined the videoconference. The program has been conducted by the Chief Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, Dr. Ahmed Kaikaus.

The districts are - Bogura, Chapainawabganj, Joypurhat, Naogaon, Natore, Pabna, Rajshahi and Sirajgonj.
