Shahinur Rahman, son of Shahjahan Ali, Shahinur’s wife Sabina Khatun, and their two children Siam Hossain Mahi and Tasnim were slaughtered to death by miscreants at Khalsi village of Kolaroa upazila of Satkhira. Police recovered the bodies of four people early Thursday.
Although four of the five members of the family were killed, the killers left a five-month-old baby, Maria, next to her mother’s body.
In the meantime, there are rumors of thrilling information spread over these four murders. Most of the people assume that the killers would be very well-known to the family. And that is why they did not kill the five-month-old baby Maria. To support the statement, they said that the killers confirmed the deaths of those who are able to identify them. Crime experts also support such indications.
According to crime experts, Maria, a five-month-old baby, has not yet developed the ability to identify perpetrators. That might be the reason why the assassins did not kill her.
Raihanul Islam, younger brother of Shahinur Rahman, said after hearing children humming from the next room in the morning, I immediately went there and saw their blood-soaked bodies.
We have disputes with the house next door over land in the area. However, I do not understand who caused this incident, he added.
Satkhira Additional Police Super Mirza Salahuddin said four people were strangled to death in their house. Meanwhile, Shahinur’s legs were tied and the door of their house was open. It is believed that the killers entered the house through the attic door. Police are currently investigating the incident.
