Samaresh Majumdar hospitalised

India's noted Bengali writer Samaresh Majumdar has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata.
The veteran writer has been suffering from respiratory complications since Friday. Later, the family members then took him to the hospital.
According to hospital sources, Samaresh, 79, was having difficulty breathing as he had deep respiratory infection. After being admitted to the hospital, he underwent multiple blood tests including chest X-ray and CT scan. Besides, sample has been collected from him for coronavirus test.
ABP Anand reported a medical board of three doctors has been formed to treat Samaresh Majumdar. He tested negative for coronavirus.
