“With all the savings my husband has left, I will be able to run the family fairly well. I strongly protest against the pathetic conversation being written on Facebook. Facebook means to be distorted. I don’t want anything from anyone. I just want blessings for my family and my husband. We will be able to pass the days beautifully only after receiving the blessings of the people” – Shahnaz, wife of late actor Sadek Bachchu, told these to the media.
“I have three children. All three of them went to good educational institutions. All three went to Motijheel Ideal School & College. I will be able to carry my family. I don’t need anyone’s financial support,” she added.
“I have said that only the Prime Minister should stand by the poor artists because our film industry does not have the financial capacity in that sense. Many good artists also have to take help. Mashallah, I don’t need money, I just need prayers. I can handle the rest,” said Shahnaz.
Earlier in 2013, Sadek Bachchu was taken to life support at United Hospital in the capital. At that time, the cost was Tk 30 which was paid with his retirement money. He was later treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, however, he breathed his last there.
“I have calculated my husband’s pension money and other securities, we can go on comfortably,” Shahnaz said when asked her about the financial trouble, adding, “Pray for my three children so that they can be human beings in the society.”
