Popular small screen actress Sabnam Faria who garnered acclaim for her performance in the film ‘Debi’ was appointed as the Chief Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the country’s popular e-commerce platform Evaly. Now she complains that even though she got the job in the company for three months, she did not get a “single penny”.
“I quit the job a month ago due to non-receipt of salary,” Sabnam Faria said.
Meanwhile, RAB arrested Mohammad Russell, CEO of Evaly, and his wife Shamima Nasrin, chairman of the company, in a raid at their house in the capital’s Mohammadpur on September 16 in a case of embezzlement.
“Although I officially worked for three months after being appointed as the Chief PRO, I did not get any salary,” Shabnam Faria said. “From the moment I joined, I found out that there was a problem with the salary inside. So after three months of work, I quit the job in the last week of August.”
Asked about her comments on the detention of the Chairman and CEO of Evaly, Shabnam Faria said, “I did not make any statement about Evaly when I was on the job. Now I am not working, so now there is no question of stating the company.”
