Legends of Rupganj star cricketer Sabbir Rahman has been fined for misbehaving with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club cricketer Elias Sunny in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Sheikh Jamal’s manager has also been punished for getting into trouble with Sabbir.
Sheikh Jamal’s manager Sultan Mahmud had a brawl with Sabbir in the 10th round match of DPL on Wednesday (June 16). Sheikh Jamal then lodged a formal complaint with the Dhanmondi Club Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) demanding Sabbir’s punishment.

The CCDM punished Sabbir after hearing the two sides based on the allegations. He was fined Tk 50,000. Sheikh Jamal’s manager Sultan Mahmud was also fined the same amount in the wake of Sabbir’s allegations at the hearing.
However, Elias Sunny did not get any major punishment. He was verbally warned by the technical committee of DPL.
