SSC shortened syllabus to be canceled

The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has decided to cancel the shortened syllabus that published, two days ago, for SSC and its equivalent examinations-2021.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the NCTB on Wednesday afternoon, however, according to the decision, the syllabus will be withdrawn by Thursday.
According to meeting sources, there is controversy over the short syllabus prepared by NCTB for this year's SSC candidates as students, teachers, and parents alleged that the syllabus cannot be completed within given time.
In this context, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has instructed to make a 30-day short syllabus of 32 subjects for SSC students by February 4 while it has been also asked to prepare a draft of this short syllabus and send it to the Ministry of Education.
The meeting was attended by Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Secondary and Higher Education Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain, NCTB Chairman Prof Narayan Chandra Saha as well as other officials and teachers associated with NCTB Curriculum.
