SSC, HSC GPA to carry no marks in DU admission test

The authorities have decided not to place any mark on the GPA obtained in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examinations in the 2020-21 session admission test of Dhaka University.
The change was proposed at a meeting of the university’s Dean Committee on Tuesday. Professor Dr. Hasanuzzaman, Dean of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, confirmed the matter to Daily Bangladesh.
He said that earlier, we decided that there would be 40 marks in multiple questions, 40 marks in writing, and 20 marks on GPA. But in today’s meeting, some changes have been made in the distribution of examination numbers. We have decided not to place any marks on the GPA of SSC and HSC exams.
There will be 60 marks in multiple questions and the written part will have 40 marks. And no number will be allotted on the GPA of SSC and HSC exams, he added.
He further said that applications for admission for the academic year 2020-21 session at Dhaka University will start from March 8 and will continue till March 31.
