SC lawyers files Writ to observe 8 days compulsory

Two suprime court lawyer has filed a writ seeking an High Court order for making mandatory the observance of eight National days to observed compulsory for all citizens including political parties. Supreme Court lawyer Mozammel Haque and Md. Shahidul filed the writ petition on Wednesday.

The High Court will hear the writ petition on Thursday.

Until these days are not guaranteed to be compulsory for all, they appealed for the postponement of the upcoming national election.

Regarding the writ petition lawyer Mozammel Haque said, he had sought a High Court directive to make mandatory the observance of eight National Days including 7th March speech of Bangabandhu, Mujibnagar Day on 17th April, Martyred Intellectuals Day on 14th December, Independence Day on 26th March, Victory Day on 16th December, 10th Jan Bangabandhu`s homecoming day, 15th August National Mourning Day, 3 Nov Jail Hatta Dibash and Joy Bangla Slogan for all citizens and politicla parties.

Because, in 46 years of independence, these days were seen inability to observe all these days.

The petitioner said, If any political party fail to observe this days, whose registration should cancel.
