SC goes on 16-day vacation

The Supreme Court (SC) has gone into a 16-day long vacation from Monday to October 18, leaving 10 vacation benches of High Court division to deal with the urgent matters at the High Court.
According to the Chief Justice's order posted on the Supreme Court's website, the Chief Justice has constituted 10 benches including 6 dual benches and 4 single benches in the High Court Division to conduct judicial work in the Supreme Court during the vacation period from October 3 to October 18.
These benches have been constituted with specific judicial jurisdiction, it added.
The Supreme Court is expected to resume its regular operation on October 19.
