S Korea lending $50m to Bangladesh

South Korea is giving a flexible loan of 50 million US dollars, i.e., Tk 424.55 crore to Bangladesh.
The loan will be provided under South Korea’s development partner’s ‘EDCF Program Loan for Covid-19 Emergency Response Program of Bangladesh’.
Recently, the Department of Economic Relations sent a letter to the Ministry of Finance seeking its views on the matter, the Ministry of Finance sources told the information.
The letter said that the ‘South Korea’s Economy Development Co-operation Firm (EDCF) has agreed to provide 50 million dollars in budget support to Bangladesh for the implementation of the ‘EDCF Program Loan for Covid-19 Emergency Response Program of Bangladesh’. The instructions were requested to provide feedback on the matter.
