Russia is going to approve another coronavirus vaccine after the first registered vaccine against COVID-19 "Sputnik V" as the country's health ministry says a new possible vaccine could be approved by October 15.
According to an IANS report, the second COVID vaccine has been developed by Russia's Vector State Research Centre of Virology and Biotechnology and has been named ‘EpiVacCorona.’
The third phase of the vaccine trial is being continued in Russia while the country's second COVID vaccine showed promising results in early trials that scheduled to be ended this September.
Virologists at Vector State Research say 57 people were vaccinated in the first phase and it is also being reported that the vaccine induces an effective immune response after dosing the volunteers twice at the interval of 14-21 days.
