Rumman’s ‘CoviDefeat’ app to provide all COVID-19 info

Shahriar Rumman, a student of the Civil Engineering Department of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) created a mobile app with various information regarding coronavirus (COVID-19). 

The app called ‘CoviDefeat’ has various features – so, when you open the app, will get 7 options:      

Helpline – the first option of the app where the names and phone numbers of all government-approved call centers and test centers regarding COVID-19 will be found. You can dial any authorized number directly from the app.

Live Update – This option provides all the necessary live data about COVID-19. It also provides the number of victims, deaths, and recovered patients based on the current situation in Bangladesh and the whole world. Besides, maps, graphs, charts of places can be found here. An overall map of the country’s lockdown situation also provides this option.

News – News from home and abroad can be found together in this option. Besides, information related to daily press releases can also be found.

Symptoms – Ideas about the exact symptoms of coronavirus can be found in this option which is collected directly from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) website. It contains an online COVID-19 test conducted by the government to test yourself initially.

Awareness – This option is available to inform people about what they should and should not do in this situation.

Podcasts – The latest podcast about coronavirus is directly available in this option. You can also log in with your Google account and mark the podcast.

Myths – this option has been added to stop the spread of misleading information and to provide accurate information.
