Bangladesh national cricket team fast bowler Rubel Hossain has been suffering from back pain injury since the New Zealand tour. He is currently undergoing treatment under the medical department of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). So the first bowler is uncertain in the home series against Sri Lanka as he is still under rehabilitation process.

BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury said the decision on Rubel's inclusion in the ODI series against Sri Lanka would be taken only after discussions with the selectors. However, he has not yet left the squad for the upcoming series.

Speaking to media, Debashish Chowdhury said that since Rubel has been bowling at the elite level for more than a decade, there may some problems in the back of such bowlers. Rubel Hossain is no exception. Scan has been done several times and found some difficulties in his low back.

"We usually get such cases as a reaction to long-term bowling," he added. Now the rehabilitation process is needed for Ruble. This problem will sometimes arise. So Rubel has to go through in a very good rehabilitation process. And that's what he's doing.

Debashish added, his rehabilitation process is going on. Therefore, the selectors will decide at the last minute whether he will be kept in the team or not.
