Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to his old club Manchester United after a long period of time, putting an end to all speculations.
Confirming the matter on Friday night on social media, Manchester United said in a statement that “Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.”
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano says it cost the ManU around 20 million euros to sign Ronaldo, which is Tk 200 crores in BDT.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has left Turin after bidding farewell to his Juventus teammates before the official announcement. He was in practice with the team for 40 minutes on Friday.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri said he came here to say goodbye to everyone.
Earlier, rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo did not want to stay at his current club Juventus had been circulating for some time. “That is true,” the team's manager Massimiliano Allegri said on Friday.
“When I spoke to Cristiano yesterday, he told me he had no intention of staying at Juventus. He wants to leave the club as soon as possible. That is why he was not with the team today and will not be in the match against Empoli tomorrow,” Allegri said.
Earlier, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo first joined Manchester United in 2003 and netted 118 goals in 292 matches until 2009.
Ronaldo joined the Italian club Juventus in 2018 after severing a nine-year relationship with Real Madrid. From there, the Portuguese superstar returned to United after a long 12-year from Juventus.
