Rohingyas on way to Bhasan Char by eight ships

1,642 Rohingyas are being shifted to Bhasan Char by eight ships from three navy and coast guard docks in Patenga area of Chattogram.
The first ship left Chattogram at 10:20 am on Friday. Earlier, the process of taking the Rohingyas onboard started from 9 am.
On Thursday, Rohingyas were brought to Chattogram by 20 buses from the Balukhali camp in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar, for rehabilitation in Bhasan Char.
At night they were kept in temporary transit camps set up at Bangladesh Navy Ready Response Bath Jetty and BAF Shaheen College grounds in Chattogram.
