BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed is set to lose his post at the party's central office permanently. It is learned that he is being relieved of his duties from the office due to a dispute with the party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and calling ridiculous program with 10/12 leaders.

According to party sources, the relationship between the BNP secretary general and the senior joint secretary general is not good. Fakhrul Islam is happy as Rizvi Ahmed did not return to the office due to illness. Emran Saleh Prince, co-organizing secretary of BNP, was given charge of the office so that Rizvi Ahmed can't take a position in the central office for the time being.

A senior and responsible leader of the party, who did not want to be named, said Rizvi Ahmed had taken the decision without discussing many issues of the party with the BNP secretary general while in office. Due to which the BNP secretary-general is very angry with him.

He has been warned many times. Even the party's chairperson Khaleda Zia herself called and warned Rizvi. But he did not listen to her. As a result, permanent action is being taken against him this time.

Rizvi has been in office for 11 consecutive years since the arrest of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia during the One-Eleven. At that time Khandaker Delwar Hossain was given the responsibility of the secretary general of the party. Rizvi Ahmed was in charge of the office when Abdul Latif Johnny, Shahin, and agriculturist Shamimur Rahman Shamim were Assistant Office Secretary.

Meanwhile, in 2016, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed was given the charge of senior joint secretary general of the party. Since then, the BNP leader has been holding the post of senior joint secretary general and charge of the office.

Nazrul Islam Khan, a member of the current BNP standing committee, was in charge of the office during the BNP government. After the appointment of Nazrul Islam, Mofidul Hasan Tripti came in charge of the office. Imran Saleh Prince, Ahmed Musa, Rizvi Ahmed were assistant office secretaries at that time.

Recently, Rizvi Ahmed was admitted to Capital's Labaid Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Since then, in the absence of Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, BNP co-organizing secretary Emran Saleh Prince has taken charge of the office.
