A returnee from China or Singapore does not mean that he/she is Coronavirus infected said, Sabrina Meerjady Flora, director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), urged people not to listen to rumors.

She said this at a regular press briefing of the IEDCR on coronavirus on Monday.

Sabrina Flora said samples of 65 people have been tested so far, no Coronavirus infected was detected yet. In addition, three more China returnee's samples were collected. They are given treatment and sample results of this test will be known soon.

The 312 Bangladeshis who return from china were kept in Hajj camp, yesterday they were released from the camp and they are still well. At the same time, the government is discouraging visiting China and Singapore without urgent need.

Finally, the IEDCR Director gave some information on how to prevent respiratory infections.

Sabrina Flora directed all to wash hands with soap for 20 seconds and asked not to touch the eyes, nose, face, with unclean hands. She also suggested avoiding contact with the person suffering from respiratory infections. Corona will be prevented if we change our life style, she added.
