The results of the written test of the 40th BCS may publish in the last week of this month (January), said Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Chairman Md. Sohrab Hossain.

He said preparations were being made to publish the results by the end of January. If the PSC decides, the results will be released within this period.

Meanwhile, PSC sources said that some of the answer scripts of the written test went to the third examiner, as a result, the results were delayed. The re-evaluation of the answer script may be completed by the middle of January. Work is also underway on weekend Friday and Saturday to publish the results.

It is learned that the work of evaluating the written exam scripts of the 40th BCS has already been completed. In many exam sheets, the difference between the marks of two examiners is more than 20 percent, as a result, it has been sent to the third examiner. Due to this, the results are being delayed.

About this, the PSC chairman said, “As per the provisions, the answer script of the written test has been examined by the third examiner. However, whether a third tester is needed will be considered in the future.”

It is to be mentioned that a total of 4,00,963 candidates registered to participate in the 40th BCS. 3,34,038 people took part in the preliminary examination. 20,277 were selected in this. The written test was held from January 4 to January 8.
