Regent Hospital Chairman Mohammad Shahed alias Shahed Karim has been remanded for four days in a case of embezzlement Tk 91 lakh of Mega Motors in Chattogram.

Metropolitan Magistrate Sarwar Jahan issued the order around 1.30 pm on Sunday. Plaintiff's lawyer Dhritiman Aich confirmed this information to Daily Bangladesh.

He said the court had granted a four-day remand to Shahed alias Shahed Karim after he applied for a 10-day remand in the Mega Motors embezzlement case.

Earlier, he was brought to the court from Chattogram Central Jail in a police prison van around 1:15 pm.

Shahed has snatched Tk 91 lakh from Mega Motors, a car parts importer, promising to get a route permit in Dhaka. On July 13, Zia Uddin Mohammad Jahangir, owner of Mega Motors, filed a case against him at the Double Mooring Police Station in Chattogram. He was brought to Chattogram on Saturday to appear in the case.
