Daily highest 287 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours which is the highest number of daily cases.
Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate of Health said this in a regular online bulletin on Monday.
Of the new dengue patients, Dhaka alone saw 279 people being admitted to hospitals in 24 hours. The rest 8 are from outside Dhaka.
Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room sources said a total of 978 people have been hospitalized with dengue.
A total of 940 dengue patients are taking treatment at 41 government and private hospitals in the capital. While 38 people are taking treatment at different divisions.
According to the Department of Health (DGHS), 3,182 people have been hospitalized with dengue since January this year. Of them, 2,200 patients have returned home after recovery.
Meanwhile, data on four patients who died on suspicion of dengue has been sent to the government’s Institute of Pathology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) for review. However, the IEDCR has not confirmed any deaths from dengue so far this year.
