Bangladesh needs another 295 runs to win the Sylhet Test at stump Day-3 with ten wickets in hand as the host finished the 3rd day 26/0. Liton Das 14* and Imrul Kayes 12* were in the crease.

Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam snared 11 wickets for the match as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 181 in their second innings and set target 321 runs for Bangladesh.

Miraz brought the breakthrough that Bangladesh were looking for early in the morning as he picked up the wicket of Brian Chari, who was watchful during his 33-ball 4. Taijul Islam, who got a six-wicket haul in the first innings then picked up the wicket of Brendon Taylor as Imrul Kayes took an excellent catch while running.

Mehedi Hasan Miraz broke the partnership that was threatening to take the game away from the Tigers as Zimbabwe captain Hamilton Masakadza was sent back, out leg-before trying to reverse-sweep the off-spinner. Masakadza, who had struck 52 in the first innings and was looking rather solid this morning feel for 48 and Zimbabwe lost 3 for 101.

Bangladesh picked up three more wickets as Taijul Islam took the wickets of Sean Williams and Peter Moor off back-back deliveries in the 5th and 6th ball of 42nd over. He also got Sikandar Raza on the next over.

10 overs 4 wickets for 38 runs is what brought the Tigers back into the game post lunch. The spinners are doing the trick for the hosts in the afternoon session but shot-selection from the experienced Masakadza and Williams both out trying to reverse-sweep have been poor.

Namul Islam took the wicket of RW Chakabva in 64th over and Mabuta in the same over. Taijul Islam back the wicket of Chatara to grasp his maiden 10 wickets haul.

Taijul Islam took 5 wickets for 62 in the second innings. Mehdi Hasan Miraz took 3 for 48 and Nazmul Islam 2 for 27.
