Rape case: Report against 6 including Nur Feb 8

The court today has fixed February 8 by deferring the investigation report of the case, alleging rape and assistance in rape, against six people, including former VP of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haq Nur.
The investigation report of the case was scheduled to be submitted on Thursday, however, the investigating officer of the case could not submit the report. Later, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Yasmin Ara fixed a new date for the submission of the report.
Earlier on September 20, a student of Dhaka University (DU) lodged a rape case with Lalbagh Police Station, accusing a total of six people. Among them, Nurul Haq Nur has been mentioned as the 3rd accused in the affidavit as an accomplice in the rape.
Hasan Al Mamun, the convener of Bangladesh Student Rights Council, has been made the main accused in the case. His residence in Nababganj Bara Masjid Road of Lalbagh Police Station has been mentioned as the place of rape.
Apart from Nur and Mamun, the other accused in the case are- Nazmul Hasan Sohag, Md. Saiful Islam, Md. Nazmul Huda and DU student Abdullah Hill Baki.
Md. Saiful Islam, Md. Nazmul Huda and Nazmul Hasan Sohag are currently in jail.
