Rainfall to decrease in 72hrs, day temp may rise by (1-2)°C

The rainfall activity which is continuing for two to three days may decrease in the next 72 hours. Besides, day temperature may rise by (1-2)°C while night temperature may remain unchanged over the country in the 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9:00 am.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) informed in a daily weather bulletin issued on Saturday morning.
According to the weather forecast, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Chattrogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions.
It has been learned that the depression over Northwest Bay and adjoining area moved northeastwards, crossed West Bengal–Khulna coast around 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, as a result, it moved northeastwards further and weakened to a well-marked low and layover Gazipur and the adjoining area around 6:00 am on Saturday.
It is likely to move in a northeasterly direction further and weaken gradually, said the BMD weather bulletin, adding that the “South-west monsoon has withdrawn from the northwestern part of Bangladesh.”
In the meantime, conditions are becoming favorable for further withdrawal from the remaining part of Bangladesh. So, the monsoon is active over North Bay.
Meanwhile, the country’s highest rainfall recorded 167mm at Chandpur of Chattogram division in the last 24 hours.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 30.9°C yesterday at Dimla in Rangpur division while today’s minimum temperature was recorded 22.3°C at Tetulia district.
Today’s sunset will be at 5:25 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 6:01 am.
