Rainfall may increase in next 72 hrs

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday predicted "Rainfall activity may increase" over the country in the next 72 hours commencing at 9 am today.
The Met Office also forecasted that rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places over the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9 am tomorrow.
" Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, at a few places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Barishal divisions
and at one or two places over Dhaka and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Besides, day temperature may fall slightly over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period.
The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius jointly at Jashore and Rangamati while today’s minimum temperature was 23.1 degrees Celsius at Khepupara in Barishal.
The sun sets at 6:48 pm today and rises at 5:11 am tomorrow in the capital.
