Rainfall likely to continue

As an outlook for next 72 hours, Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Tuesday predicted: "Rainfall activity is likely to continue."
The Met Office also forecasted that ight to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at many places over Chattogram division and at a few over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a met office bulletin issued this morning.
Meanwhile, day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The highest temperature yesterday was recorded 35.3 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and Ishurdi while today's minimum temperature was 23.8 degrees Celsius at Tarash in Rajshahi division.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6:00 am today was recorded 68 millimeters (mm) at Badalgachhi in Rajshahi division.
The sun sets at 6:50 pm today and rises at 5:14 am tomorrow in the capital.
