Rain, thundershowers likely to increase

Rain or thundershowers are likely to increase over the country in the next 72-hours or three days said a met office bulletin on Friday morning.
Meanwhile, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions with hails at isolated places over the country in the next 24-hours.
Besides, day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country during the period.
The highest 32 millimetres (mm) rainfall was recorded in Dhaka in 24 hours ending at 6 am today.
Seasonal low lies over South Bay while a trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperature was recorded 35.6 degrees Celsius yesterday at Sitakunda in Chattogram division while today`s minimum temperature 19.0 at Rajarhat in Rangpur division.
Today’s sunset over the capital city will be at 6:25 pm while tomorrow`s sunrise at 5:27 am.
