Rain or thundershowers likely to continue

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country in the next 24-hours ending at 9 am tomorrow, said a met office bulletin on Thursday.

According to the bulletin, Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Barisal, Chittagong & Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places over the country.

The highest 39 millimetres (mm) rainfall was recorded at Kumarkhali in Khulna in 24 hours ending at 6 am today.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius yesterday in Rangamati, Chattagram while today`s minimum temperature 19.3 at Kumarkhali, Khulna.

A trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, it added.

Today’s sunset over the capital city will be at 6:25 pm while tomorrow`s sunrise at 5:27 am
