Rain or thunder showers likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers at many places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna division; at a few places over Rajshahi and Barishal divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Dhaka Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the southern part of the country," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Meanwhile, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the release added.
As an outlook for the next 72 hours, the BMD predicted: "Rain or thunder showers may increase at the end period."
The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded by 35.5 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature today was recorded by 23.1 degrees Celsius both at Tetulia.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00 am today was recorded by 21 millimetres (mm) at Bhola.
