Rain likely to increase in next 72hrs

As an outlook for the next 72 hours, Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday predicted: "Rainfall activity may increase at the end period."
The Met Office also forecasted that rain or thunder showers at one or two places over four divisions including Dhaka in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Jashore, Kushtia and Cumilla with hails at isolated places. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Meanwhile, a "Mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the regions of Rangamati, Feni, Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Nilphamari and Panchagarh and it may continue," the release added.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded yesterday at 38.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi while the minimum temperature today was 19.5 degrees Celsius at Tetulia under the Rangpur division.
Today’s sunset at 06:19 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise at 5:39 am at Dhaka.
