Rain likely to increase in next 3days

As an outlook for the next 72 hours, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted: "A low pressure area is likely to from over North Bay. Rainfall activity may increase."
The Met Office also forecasted that most of the places in the country are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with moderately heavy to heavy falls in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the release.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon has advanced up to Chattogram, Barishal, Dhaka, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions. Conditions are favourable for further advancement of Southwest monsoon over remaining parts of the country.
Monsoon is fairly active over eastern part of the country and moderate over Northeast Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded by 35.3 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and lowest temperature today was recorded by 24.0 degrees Celsius at Tangail.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00 am today was recorded by 56 millimeters (mm) at Netrokona.
The sun sets at 6:46 pm today and rises at 5:10 am tomorrow in the capital.
