Rain likely to continue for 3 more days

As an outlook for the next 72 hrs, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted that rainfall activity may continue.
The Met Office also forecasted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office release.
Meanwhile, a mild heat wave is sweeping over Sylhet and Dinajpur regions and it may abate during the period.
Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Maximum temperature of the country was recorded yesterday 37.4 degrees Celsius in Sylhet and minimum temperature today 25.2 degrees Celsius at Cox’s Bazar in Chattogram. Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6 am today was recorded 35 millimetres (mm) at Khepupara in Barishal.
The sun sets at 6:37 pm today and rises at 5:31 am tomorrow in the capital.
