Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over the country in the next 24 hours, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in a weather bulletin on Monday.
According to BMD weather forecast, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions; at one or two places over Dhaka division and the region of Bogura.
However, the weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere over the country.
Besides, day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country during the period.
Meanwhile, a trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. As a result, seasonal low lies over South Bay.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 35.6 degree Celsius on Sunday at Jashore in Khulna division while the minimum temperature was recorded 21.4 degree Celsius on Monday at the Sylhet district.
Sunday’s sunset will be at 6:39 pm and Monday’s sunrise will be at 5:12 am.
