Rain likely in many regions in next 24 hrs

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted rain or thunder showers at many regions over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and the region of Cumilla," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Besides, "Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country" during the period, said the Met Office.
Meanwhile, day temperature may fall slightly over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and it
may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country, said the release, adding that night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded yesterday at 36.2 degrees Celsius in Dhaka while the minimum temperature today was 18.5 degrees Celsius at Ishurdi under the Rajshahi division.
Today’s sunset at 06:17 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise at 5:42 am at Dhaka.
