Rain likely in all divisions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department said on Sunday forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers with moderately heavy to heavy falls at many places in all divisions of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
As an outlook for the next 72 hours, the BMD predicted: "Rain or thunder showers activity may increase."
Country’s maximum temperature was recorded yesterday by 36.4 degrees Celsius in Sylhet and the lowest temperature today was recorded by 24.0 degrees Celsius at Rangamati in the Chattogram division.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00 am today was recorded by 34 millimeters (mm) at Kumarkhali.
The sun sets at 6:47 pm today and rises at 5:10 am tomorrow in the capital.
