Rain likely at most places

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday predicted that due to active monsoon, most of the places in the country are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by the gusty wind in the next 24 hours.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rajshahi division and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the northern part of the country," the BMD said in a release issued this morning.
Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Maximum temperature of the country was recorded by 37.4 degree Celsius yesterday at Jashore in Khulna division while the lowest one was recorded today by 25.0 degree Celsius jointly at Teknaf and Rajarhat. Country’s maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded by 202 millimetres (mm) at Dimla in Rangpur division.
The sun sets at 6:50 pm today and rises at 5:15 am tomorrow in the capital.
