Rain likely at many places including Dhaka

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday predicted that rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the region of Cumilla in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
The weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere over the country during the period, said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the release added.
The maximum temperature was recorded yesterday at 34.5 degrees Celsius at Badalgachhi in Rajshahi, while today’s minimum temperature was 15.8 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur under the Rangpur division.
The sun sets at 6:05 pm today and rises at 6:14 am tomorrow in the capital.
