Rain likely across country in next 24hrs

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted rain or thundershowers at many parts of the country along with dry weather at some places of the northern region in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and weather may remain mainly dry with the partly cloudy sky over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions,” said a Met Office release today.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the release added.
The highest temperature of the country was recorded yesterday 36.0 degree Celsius jointly at Tarash and Dinajpur and the lowest temperature today was recorded 22.7 degree Celsius at Tetulia. Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 32 millimetres (mm) at the Cox’s Bazar.
The sun sets at 5:32 pm today and rises at 5:56 am tomorrow in the capital.
