Railway ready to resume passenger trains from August 11

The government is taking preparation to run 38 pairs of intercity and 19 pairs of mail and commuter trains from August 11, Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujon said.
The minister said this while speaking to reporters on Thursday.
The minister said the government has decided to allow movement of passenger vehicles from August 11, and we have made preparations in accordance with this decision.
He said the passenger trains will start running with half the seats vacant in compliance with the hygiene rules. Tickets will only be available online and the counter will be closed.
He further said, "We have prepared to resume the train the way we did during Eid. But everything will depend on the final decision of the government."
