Railway construction work in Magura by Jan: Railway Minister

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan on Saturday has said that the construction work of the railway line in Magura will begin by January next year.
He told the information at a public meeting in Magura in the afternoon. District Awami League organized the meeting at Ram Nagar Secondary School ground in Sadar upazila.
Stating that Magura railway construction activities are moving forward at a fast pace at the ministry, the Railway Minister said that rail connectivity will be established in Magura district through the construction of a new railway line.
“I have come to see the work directly as some people have objections as per the alignment in the construction work,” he said, hoping that the work could be started by next January by solving these problems.
He said past governments had destroyed the railways in the country. At the direction of the Prime Minister of the present government, we are working to establish rail connectivity in every district, he added.
Former MP and Awami League presidium member Abdur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the public meeting presided over by district Awami League acting president Abdul Fattah.
Among others, Magura-1 MP Saifuzzaman Shikhar, Chairman of Magura District Council Pankaj Kundu, Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Abu Nasir Bablu, Vice President of District Awami League Munshi Rezaul Haque, Khurshid Haider Tutul, Advocate Shakharul Islam Shakil and others spoke.
