A two-day “Rabindra Utshab” (Rabindra Festival) ended here at the National Museum yesterday.
Rabindra Academy and Bangladesh National Museum jointly organized the festival.
Rabindra Sangeet singer Fahmida Khatun and writer Ahmed Rafiq were conferred with an honorary award at the concluding ceremony last night,” Rabindra Academy general secretary Bulbul Mahalanibash told DailyBangladesh today.
National Professor Anisuzzaman inaugurated the festival on Tuesday while Prime Minister’s International Affairs Adviser Dr. Gowher Rizvi spoke at the inaugural session as the chief guest.
Chaired by Rabindra Academy president Azizur Rahaman Aziz, the inaugural session of the festival was also addressed by Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhammad Samad.
The seminar, discussion, recitation, and cultural shows were arranged during the two-day festival.
