RMCH counts four more COVID fatalities

Another four people have died at the COVID unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours, among these, one died of Covid-19 and three died with COVID symptoms.
Confirming the information on Friday morning, RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdany told reporters that seven people were newly admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. Nine patients returned home after recovery.
“36 suspected patients, 11 Covid-19 patients and 16 patients with COVID symptoms are currently hospitalized,” he added.
RMCH director said 67 samples were tested at RMCH’s PCR machines where two people were diagnosed with Covid-19 and 167 samples were tested at Rajshahi Medical College’s PCR machine where 11 people were diagnosed with the virus. The virus detection rate in Rajshahi is 5.56 percent.
