RMCH counts 2 more COVID fatalites

Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) reported two more fatalities – one died of Covid-19 hailed from Chapainawabganj and one died with Covid-symptoms hailed from Rajshahi – in its Covid-19 unit in the last 24 hours till Monday morning.

Confirming the information, RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdany told reporters that the fatalitites were reported from Monday (October 18) 9 am to Tuesday (October 19) 10 am.

Meanwhile, 67 patients were admitted to the COVID unit of the 192-bed RMCH Hospital till 9 am on Tuesday. Even a day ago this number was 73.

As many as 52 samples were conducted in the RMCH hospital lab in the last 24 hours where five people diagnosed with the Covid-19 and 275 samples were tested at Rajshahi Medical College lab where 10 people were tested positive for the virus.

As per the sample test, the COVID detection rate in Rajshahi was 4.29 percent and in Natore was 5.13 percent.
