RMCH COVID unit logs 15 deaths in 24hrs

As many as 15 more deaths have been registered at the COVID unit of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Monday morning.
Among the deaths, seven tested positive for Covid-19 and the rest displayed symptoms consistent with the disease.
RMCH director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed the information this morning (August 2, 2021).
"From 8:00 am on Sunday to 8:00 am on Monday, the people - nine men and six women - died in different wards of RMCH. Of them, six were from Rajshahi, five from Pabna, two from Naogaon, and one each Natore and Kushtia," he said.
Meanwhile, 37 people have been admitted to RMCH in the last 24 hours while 59 others returned home after recovery. With the new patients, a total of 390 patients are now undergoing treatment in the 513-bed corona unit of the Hospital as of this morning.
In the last 24 hours, 131 covid patients have been detected after testing 463 samples in two labs of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital.
