RMCH COVID unit logs 11 deaths in 24hrs

As many as 11 more deaths have been registered at the COVID unit of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.
Among the deaths, seven tested positive for Covid-19 and the rest displayed symptoms consistent with the disease.
RMCH director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed the information this morning (July 24, 2021).
"From 8:00 am on Friday to 8:00 am on Saturday, the people - six men and five women - died in different wards of RMCH. Of them, six were from Rajshahi, two from Pabna, one each Natore, Kushtia, Naogaon," he said.
Meanwhile, 57 people have been admitted to RMCH in the last 24 hours while 37 others returned home after recovery. With the new patients, a total of 419 patients are now undergoing treatment in the 513-bed corona unit of the Hospital as of this morning.
In the last 24 hours, 104 covid patients have been detected after testing 186 samples in two labs of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital.
